My first test was a 1080p youtube video out of the HDMI across a 15' HDMI cable, so I think it's a pretty decent ad hoc test. Time will tell how this and the dock hold up though, but I'm glad it worked!I have since used this off and on with the dock, primarily for HDMI and Ethernet, and have not had any hiccups. And I have been riding them pretty hard. Sometimes I stop the adapter, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I have a USB wifi dongle in there, sometimes I don't. Windows and the hardware have been keeping up very well with the plugging and unplugging. Today i noticed with some klooged adapter cables, some professional equipment and my phone was not registering through the USB ports of the dock, through this cable. Swapping the USB cable fixed that issue, but at first I thought it might have been related to this extension.So far, the only cons I can come up with is that it's kind of stiff, and there's a little gap between the tablet and the connector. Minor things given that it does what I need it to do.This cable successfully connects the GoPro External Mic Adapter to a GoPro HERO8 Black camera (unlike almost all other USB-C extension cables). In fact, I was able to cascade two of these to achieve 2 meters of separation between the Mic Adapter and the camera. However it does not meet my needs, because I want to be able to rotate the camera with the cable connected. It is much too thick and stiff for this, and the male end which plugs into the camera has a 1.5-inch rigid plastic handle. After a few rotations back and forth I believe that the USB-C jack on the camera would be torn out.This cable has been a lifesaver! I was unhappy with my current USB C hub I got for my 2017 Macbook because the design had it sit flush alongside it. I developed concerns for the single USB C port alongside could be loosened over time but this cable saved me from about to buy a whole other hub just to keep some distance. Aesthetically gotta say it looks pretty nice as well and boy does this thing feel tough, It does have nylon braiding after all. I highly recommend this cable for anyone needing an extension on their current setup! Great value, great durability, and so useful!Disclaimer: I did have my doubts after reading so many reviews on here referencing HDMI and USB inputs not working and such however I had a suspicion that these issues may be contributed to the cable length so I ordered the 1.6ft version. I can confirm to you that my HDMI and USB 3.0 port(s) all work flawlessly even when all are being used simultaneously. So I still suspect that lengths BEYOND 1.6ft will perhaps have limited capabilities in terms of simultaneous usage.I am using the 3.3 feet version of this cable with my 2017 12 inch MacBook and a Satechi Adapter powered by my original Apple USB-C charging cable.I have such terrible experiences with USB-C cables. This one just works. It allows 81 watts of power forwarding (my 87watt power adapter is only putting out 81 at the moment). It allows data passthrough while charging. I have it hooked up to a power forwarding USB-A adapter which in turn is connected to a USB hub running 5 (yes five) USB 3 hard drives.It's ugly. I mean, it looks exactly like it does in the photo, but I wish there was just a plain black one. It seems to be braided nylon, but I wish it was all black.It feels very good, the nylon braid is solid and soft. The connectors appear to solid enough with acceptable strain relief.In my case, The female end will always stay connected, the male end will be connected and disconnected from my computer regularly as this is my one cable to rule them all setup.I'll surely be getting more, but I may try to dye one black.Great cable, does exactly as intended. I bought it for my Nintendo switch that would no longer fit into the dock due to a protective case I got for it. One recommendation for Switch users:There are a couple of springs in the dock that will push the cable off which can be pretty annoying. It's not super hard to get into the dock and take them out. The first set of screws on the back are special tri-type screws, but I was able to get them off with a small standard screwdriver, just be careful not to strip them. The second set of screws are philips head, with a couple under the chipset (don't touch any of the metal parts with your bare hands, you could fry the board). Once you get those out, you can pull the dock springs out easily, then put it back together. Your cable will now stay in the dock without popping off.Finally found a cable that works both ways! I went through 2 other mfg that could NOT work on both sides (flip) on the cable. The whole purpose of USB-C is that it'll work on both sides (flipped 180 degrees).I don't normally have the time to leave feedback, but found it worthwhile to inform the users that this cable does not have that one side limitation.Warning!If you want to use this cable instead dock for docking and you want to use LAN network adapter too. This cable may not compatible with other LAN Adapter.**However, the CableCreation's after-sale service is really impressive. They suggested how to solve the issue and reply email rapidly, but sadly, they can't solve this problem. I hope they can fix this soon.This is the result I've tested.1.Dock + Switch + LAN Adapter = Work perfectly (Wired internet)2.Dock + Extension Cable + Switch + LAN Adapter = LAN not working (No Wired internet access)3.Switch + OTG USB-C male to Usb 3.0 female + LAN Adapter = Work perfectly (Wired internet) (No dock)So, beware if you use Wifi on your Switch is ok, but this cable not compatible with Plugable USB 3.0 LAN Adapter when you want to use your Switch on Docking mode.A repeat order of this cable - the only one I have found which enables extension connection of the usb C connector from a Dell XPS 13/15 to a Dell WD15 dock. Uniquely this enables one to connect to the standard usb c thunderbolt cable of the docking station. Have run the dock successfully using the extension cable with (concurrently) HDMI plus a USB3 external disk, audio connection to an external speaker, and a Hauppauge duet TV stick running dual HD channels . This last item is particularly sensitive to cable capabilities (bandwidth?) and the CableCreation cable at either 1 ft or 1.6 ft satisfies this requirement. Seen lots of comments on-line with regard to the unavailability of extension cables for the DW15, and none have come up with an answer - I appear to have found one.I bought this product in order to move by Dell DA200 adapter a little away from my Dell XPS 13 (9360).What happened is that due a the loss of bandwidth caused by the cable, I was not able anymore to put my external monitor in full HD (1920x1080) anymore. The monitor was forced to work on lower resolution and there was no way increase it.So, now I continue to use the DA200 adapter by directly connecting it to the laptop.This cable is totally useless for me. The vendor should clearly state the there is a loss of bandwidth and should provide examples use cases when it works and when users will experience problems/quality loss.it doesn't work with USB C hub or docking station and seller failed to mention that in description. And there is no return policy on this only replacement is available. I have spent my money on completely useless product and now can't even return it.Works wellThat was my initial view, however for the last few months the cable has failed to perform to the point today 9 moths after purchase it doesn't work at all. I used it to extend a very short cabled Lenovo usb c docking station I have connected to me Asus tablet 2 in 1, initially I though it was the docking station as why should the a simple cable that has not been mistreated fail - it has. I have given it two stars because it was useful and did work but no longevity. I'm going to ask for a refund - July 2019
